Frequently asked questions about OIDO order + pay regarding customer service and satisfaction, integration into other cash register systems, data security and cancellation.

Can OIDO accept cash payments?

No. However, you can use OIDO in ‘on-site payment’ mode, i.e. as a pure ordering system. Depending on local legislation, a cash register may also be required.

Is OIDO TSE certified?

No. OIDO is not a POS system that processes cash payments.

What happens in the event of a power failure?

OIDO processes all information in the cloud. As long as you and your customers have a working internet connection, e.g. a device with a SIM card, you can operate your business by candlelight or in the middle of a field.

Is the data on the OIDO platform secure?

OIDO is processed on highly secure and GDPR-compliant Google Firebase servers in Frankfurt, Germany and stored on Google Cloud servers in Frankfurt, Germany.

What does OIDO cost?

OIDO is a software service platform, and you can rent the service on a monthly basis. You don't have to buy any software or special POS devices, handhelds or credit card readers. You can cancel the monthly subscriptions on a monthly basis.

Is the order via mobile phone impersonal?

No. When it comes to shipping or pickup, your customers now expect to be able to shop for products and services online. This is increasingly replacing orders placed by phone or email.

Does OIDO integrate with my cash register?

OIDO provides all booking and payment data in machine-readable form and in real time for other systems via a REST API. The communication with your POS or cash register may have to be adapted by a programmer.
